This Valentine’s Day, Animal Alliance is hosting “Happy Valen-tails,” an adoption event committed to matching a record number of pets with loving homes on the most love-filled weekend of the year. The four day event will be held Friday-Monday, February 12-15 from 12pm – 4pm at Animal Alliance’s Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center located at 1432 Route 179 North in Lambertville. All of Animal Alliance’s adoptable pets can be seen on PetFinder via the agency’s website at www.animalalliancenj.org.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, adoption fees for all adult cats will be slashed to $14.00, making them the perfect Valentine’s gift for anyone looking for a furry feline friend. Dog adoption fees will be reduced to $214, down from the normal $325 donation. All of the dogs and cats at Animal Alliance have received veterinary exams, are already spayed/neutered, have all age appropriate vaccines, flea and tick treatment, deworming and have been microchipped with a Home Again Microchip. Additionally, all cats and kittens at Animal Alliance have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
“All of the pets at Animal Alliance have so much love and companionship to give and are looking to receive that same kind of love in return,” said Annie Trinkle, Executive Director of Animal Alliance. “By matching pets with people during this event, our goal is to give new beginnings to many animals, which in turn makes room at our adoption center for more homeless pets in need.”
During the four-day event, fatdogfoto of New Hope is offering all guests a reduced rate photo session for pets & their people. Nanette Kardaszeski, owner of fatdogfoto, will also give an additional discount to everyone who adopts a pet at Animal Alliance during the ‘Happy Valen-tails Day’ event. For more information and to view Nanette’s work visit www.fatdogfoto.com.
At Animal Alliance’s pet adoption center, interested adopters can observe all of the felines as they roam and play freely in the cat rooms, and spend time with them individually in a meet and greet room. Dogs must meet other dogs already in an adoptive home prior to placement. Animal Alliance does not adopt any adult dogs to families with children 9 years of age and under for liability and safety reasons.
Animal Alliance T-Shirts and Tote Bags will also be reduced to $10.00 from $20.00.
For questions or appointments, please call 609-818-1952. All pets can be seen on the agency’s website at www.animalalliancenj.org.
Millions of companion animals are euthanized each year in American shelters. With dedicated and vigorous work by shelters and rescues like Animal Alliance throughout the nation, those adoption rates continue to climb, as more and more pets are being rescued and adopted from shelters into loving homes each year.
Animal Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, which finds euthanasia to be an unacceptable fate for adoptable dogs and cats in animal shelters, who will lose their life due to pet overpopulation. Animal Alliance places animals removed from shelters into temporary foster care where they are rehabilitated, spayed/neutered, restored to health, and readied for a speedy adoption. Animal Alliance focuses its efforts on injured animals, and victims of cruelty and neglect. Through its Planned Pethood Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, Animal Alliance offers spay/neuter community outreach services to substantially reduce pet overpopulation. Its Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center offers pets for adoption in a retail-like setting to encourage pet adoption among those who might not ordinarily visit a traditional animal shelter, and to increase the visibility and accessibility of rescued animals for adoption. www.animalalliancenj.org
