Interjecting uproarious comedy into each program, Jon creates a hilarious and unique presentation that never fails to blow the audience away. Stetson blends the art of Mystery with the study of Psychology, the predictability of human nature and the power of intuition, with a disarming sense of humor. The result is slack jawed amazement, where the most skeptical of audience Show More...members begin to feel a renewed sense of wonder as impossibilities become realities.

Jon Stetson was the inspiration for the
CBS hit television series "The Mentalist"

The Stetson Experience is intelligent, interactive, sophisticated fun. Along with hundreds of corporate appearances, Jon has performed for three U.S. Presidents, The King of Sweden, The Royal Family of Monaco, and has appeared on several major Television Networks.

Delaware Valley University will host a special exhibit, celebrating the work of painter Lou Schellenberg. The show entitled, "Contemporary Landscape Paintings: Show More...Rural Pennsylvania," will open Nov. 8 and run through Jan. 31 in the second-floor atrium of the University's Life Sciences Building.
"The University's Arts on Campus initiative is working to enhance the experience for both students and visitors to Delaware Valley University's campus by providing a variety of art exhibits," said DelVal Director of Continuing and Professional Studies Admission Linda Lefevre. "We are pleased to host Lou Schellenberg's show and hope that the campus and community will take advantage of the opportunity to see her work on our campus."
Schellenberg, who lives near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, earned her MFA at the University at Albany. After receiving her MFA, Schellenberg accepted a full-time teaching position in Pennsylvania where she continues to live and paint. She is a founding board member of the Mount Gretna School of Art, an intensive summer painting program.
Schellenberg's art has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in galleries, art centers, and museums throughout the U.S. and Canada. She has won many awards including a fellowship from the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, and first place in Pennsylvania's Art of the State exhibit.
Over the many years of looking at, teaching, and creating art, Schellenberg has remained committed to observation as a starting point in drawing and painting. BUCKS COUNTY'S FIRST ART HOTEL EXHIBITION AND ART SALE
The Centre Bridge Inn, 2998 River Road, New Hope, PA 18938 (map)
Date: 1/18/19 WEBSITE     Sponsored by: GRATZ GALLERY AND CONSERVATION STUDIO
CONTACT: 2153482500   |    EMAIL
It is with great excitement and anticipation that beginning on October 5, 2018, we are presenting Bucks County's first Art Hotel venture to our communities Show More...of art enthusiasts far and near. With Bucks County's already rich artistic history, its large selection of galleries, art events and festivals, the culinary offerings, the beauty of its landscape at all seasons, and its deeply rooted tradition of historic Inns, the blending of art and hospitality comes as a natural next step.
In this first Art Hotel exhibition and art sale, we are thrilled to have brought together one of Bucks County's most treasure Inns, one of the area's most established Fine Art galleries and the works by an African American expressionist painter from Philadelphia.
Having a keen sense of appreciation for this area's cultural diversity, curator Stephanie Lisle was inspired to combine the colorful and lively world of art exhibitions with the atmosphere of comfort and tranquility at the Centre Bridge Inn in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
The beautiful, historic, and well established Center Bridge Inn is not only a perfect get away retreat in bucolic Bucks County, it is set in the idyllic landscape of the Delaware River, perfect backdrop for weddings, romantic dinners and overnight stays during all seasons. Their selection of eight sophisticated and tastefully decorated guest rooms already feature themed artwork by Bucks County contemporary and traditional artists.
Gratz Gallery and Conservation Studio has been a leading authority on American Art, and an important member of the Bucks County art community for almost 40 years. Specializing in 19th and 20th century American paintings, with a focus on painters from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Gratz Gallery offers a wide selection of Fine Art from Impressionism to Modern Art. In addition to art investment Gratz Gallery offers custom framing and fine art conservation services. Included in the gallery's extensive selection of art, is a collection of works by African American expressionist painter Bernard Harmon.
Bernard Harmon (1935 - 1989) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1935. Harmon was primarily a portrait painter and a well loved teacher in the Philadelphia area. He was a graduate of the Philadelphia Museum School and Temple's Tyler School of Art. Beloved by many, Harmon taught in the Philadelphia School District, at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, at the University of the Arts, and at Drexel University. Harmon's portraits were commissioned by Philadelphia Jazz organist Jimmy Smith and Mayor Richardson Dilworth. Bernard Harmon was considered a Renaissance man by friends and colleagues for his interests not only in art but music and theater as well. He was familiar and friends with many contemporary African American artists such as Doc Thrash, Selma Burke, Paul Keene Jr., Allen Freelon and Charles Searles. His work has a loose expressionist style that can be related to the work of Alice Kneel.
When visiting the Delaware River community, stop in for dinner and a drink, listen to live music on the weekends, stay for the night, and get enchanted by the colorful art of Bernard Harmon. But don't wait too long; exhibitions will change just as the seasons do.
The Center Bridge Inn is located at 2998 River Rd, New Hope, PA 18938. Their hours of operations are by appointment for events, and restaurant hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12 - 9 pm and Sunday 5 - 8pm. For more information please visit their website at www.centrebridgeinn.com

Frank Hyder, who splits his time between Philadelphia and Miami, has become known for working across a variety of media. His paintings and sculpture have Show More...been widely exhibited in venues such as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art's Museum of American Art, the Carnegie Museum in California, the La Salle Museum of Art in Philadelphia, and the National Museum of Catholic Art and History in New York among others. Hyder has also created several public art works, including three murals through the City of Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program: Hanging Garden of I-95, Honey's Garden, and Bell's Pond.
Hyder's fascination with the public sphere has manifested in a multimedia experience titled The Janis Project. Begun in 2015 and still continuing today, Hyder has created over a dozen large-scale, double-faced inflatable sculptures of heads. Hyder states of The Janis Project that each head, "which at once references Moai of Easter Island, Olmec heads and, the ancient Roman god of new endeavors, at the same time has its roots in street art and inflatable toys...Janis carries a message of equality and good will and dares to step out of the normal world of Art museums or Art Galleries to be among us. Made of resilient nylon and paint, Janis has found a place to make us all consider issues with a smile that often divide us."

The concept is simple. We want to exhibit the most visually compelling images possible and to acknowledge the photographers who create them. To do so, The ODYSSEY Exhibition will once again feature the PCP's hallmark combination of separate print and digital exhibitions, so those who are too far away to deliver framed prints can have their excellent work recognized and displayed. Historically, exhibitions at the PCP have drawn unique images from around the world and The ODYSSEY Exhibition promises to be even more diverse!. ...Show Less

Leslie Pontz's work deals with topics such as community, conflict, and growth by applying the vocabulary of textiles to materials not commonly associated Show More...with the medium. Rusted tools find a home with soft woven pieces while metal is crocheted like yarn. These surprising juxtapositions of materials makes categorizing Pontz's work difficult; it is sculpture, it is fabric, it is installation.
Her work also, in many cases, invites participation from its viewers. Whether following a meditative journey proscribed by Pontz in and around her work, or by literally rearranging portions of her sculptural pieces, viewers are both invited to be shaped by Pontz's work and shape it themselves. The story of Pontz's own life, that of her community, and visitors to the Museum will be woven together in the exhibition by participation, conversation, and collaboration.. ...Show Less

Developing Energetic Show More...Awareness to Transform Anxiety into Tranquility
Energy is vast and pervasive. It is all around us, and we are forced into a relationship with it. All interactions contain an energetic component. The unifying forces of the Universe are omnipresent in both living entities and inanimate objects. People, animals, situations, objects, and environments contain and give off energy. To discover how to observe and direct this abundant energy is to harness the power at our finger-tips. By understanding and being consciously aware of the energetic impacts that can be created, it is possible to manifest our will. This course will discuss the source of energy, increase your awareness of the energy around you, reveal external indicators of internal energies, and help you understand how you impact the energies around you. Based on Diane Wing's book The True Nature of Energy: Transforming Anxiety into Tranquility.

Energetic Imprints: Controlling Your Energetic Footprint
You have the ability to control your energy and raise its frequency. The energetic footprint consists of the energetic densities of physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental aspects. The denser your energy, the more intrusive your imprint will be. The goal is to create the lightest possible frequency so that you are vibrating as close as possible to the Universal Energy. Controlling your energetic footprint is crucial, for it impacts everything you encounter. Throughout the day, you are actively imprinting your energy on others through your moods, thoughts, and intentions, on the Universal Energy - a source which others are tapping into and picking up on your "stuff." It is projected onto your work, and it comes out in documents you handle, things you write, things you create. Learn what kind of energetic imprint you are leaving, what imprints are left on objects and places, and how to increase your awareness of the energies with-in and around you.

Call for Photography - Ends February 18, 2019
The Pennsylvania Center for Photography's AMERICANA Exhibition, which had grown into one of the Northeast's Show More...premier photographic shows, is being morphed into the more inclusive ODYSSEY Exhibition. .
Whether your photographic journeys take you to the farthest places on earth or into the farthest places in your mind, the Pennsylvania Center for Photography's ODYSSEY Exhibition is for you. It is totally open, no underlying theme, no restrictions on subject (except for overt sexuality and animal cruelty), just your best photography.
